How can you live an empowered, spirit filled life?

Prayer is the essential part of your relationship and your understanding of who God is and His plan for your life.

Opposition from the World

God allows opposition to bring us to the end of ourselves.

If your private world is in order, it will be because you are convinced that the inner world of the spiritual must govern the outer world of activity.

Believing prayer reminds you who God is.

If your private world is in order, it will be because you make a daily choice to monitor its state of orderliness.

Prayer changes my will to God’s will.

If your private world is in order, it will be because you recognize your susceptibility to operate according to schemes and patterns NOT made of God but fashioned by a disordered world.

“Then the LORD said to Moses, ‘NOw you will see what I will do to Pharaoh: Because of my mighty hand he will let them go; because of my might hand he will drive them out of his country.'”

What does confidence in the #OneTrueLivingGod look like?

Preparation for the battle includes putting on the full armor of God.

If my private world is in order, it will be because I have determined to be disciplined by God’s Word within my head and my heart.

God’s total power and ultimate Truth are realized through obedience and disobedience.

If my private world is in order, it will be because I have understood the difference between what is true and what is false, and have obeyed what is true.

A life yielded to God’s sovereignty and authority is confident in His ultimate protection.

If my private world is in order it will be because I am unafraid to be alone and quiet before the #OneTrueLivingGod.

“And the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD when I stretch out my hand against Egypt and bring the Israelites out of it.”

What does it mean that Jesus is my Savior?

or

What do I need saving from?

A #biblicalworldview describes God as reaching down and rescuing sinners from the penalty of death and hell that our sin deserves.  We have no power to save ourselves from sin because we are dead in our sin.

A #biblicalworldview gives us God’s answer… Since we have a Savior in the person of Jesus Christ, God has no more punishment left for those who have applied the work of Jesus Christ at the Cross.

God, in the person of Jesus Christ, delivers His people out from the enslavement of sin.

God’s deliverance includes being given the powerful ability to obey Him.

God’s deliverance includes being given the freedom and the desire to worship Him.

Is there such a thing as universal truth?

If so, how am I to understand the struggle that goes on in my mind, my soul, and around me?

In order to understand the struggle we need to define Truth.

Truth is conformity to fact or reality; exact accordance with that which is, or has been… or shall be.  It is a true state of fact or things.  It includes veracity or purity from falsehood… conformity to a rule…. (Noah Webster 1828 Online Dictionary)

If God is approachable, then it is only on His terms.

How am I able to enter into the presence of a holy, righteous, all-powerful God?

If God’s Words are absolute, then they demand my wholehearted devotion.

How can I love and worship God with all my heart, my soul, and my mind?

If God’s character is righteous, then His character is woven into our character by His grace and because of His Son.

How will I find the heart of worship by loving God’s law?

I will find Christ…

When you love God’s law you find His grace in the person of His Son…

“Whatever man loves, that is his god.  For he carries it in his heart; he goes about with it night and day; he sleeps and wakes with it, be it what it may, wealth or self, pleasure or renown.” – Martin Luther

What preoccupies your thoughts?

What do you treasure in your heart?

God wants to fill our lives with His presence… but when we carry other things around with us, pursuing them by day and thinking about them at night…there is no room left for God.

Who or what am I really pursuing?

God delights to make Himself known to those whose hearts seek after Him.

God’s glory is found in the totality of His character and His promises.

God transforms believers with ever-increasing glory as they spend time alone with HIm.

“And the LORD said, ‘I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the LORD, in your presence, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. ‘ “

Have you ever wondered what were God’s plans and purposes for the whole world?

We know that God has set a course for believers… He has determined our destiny and we will become completely Holy because God is Holy.  We know that by nature or our flesh that we do not always cooperate with God because He has given us a will so that we can choose to cooperate with Him personally and individually.  So what about God’s plan for the rest of the world?  He does have a plan for the ages.  The Creator of the Universe will bring His creation back to Himself.  He uses what we understand as time and He uses His creatures.  His story is fascinating!

God’s goal for History…

“And He made known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment- to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ.” – Ephesians 1:9

What does His plan look like?

God’s appointed times and places reveal the bigger picture of His plan for the ages.

Redemption is found in Jesus Christ alone.

Our sin died with Jesus Christ and was buried with Him.

Because of Jesus resurrection your resurrection is secure.

Jesus promises His Holy Spirit to all who believe in Him.

Believers must be eagerly anticipating the trumpet call of God.

Jesus Christ will one day restore the world to Himself.

“He is to lay both hands on the head of the live goat and confess over it all the wickedness and rebellion of the Israelites- all their sins- and put them on the goat’s head.  He shall send the goat away into the wilderness in the care of someone appointed to the task.” – Leviticus 16:21

The sacrifice of Jesus Christ provides for the forgiveness of sin and removal of sin’s guilt.

Because you are His sons, God sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.” So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are His child, God has made you also an heir.”  – Galatians 4:4-7
